For Douala and Yaoundé shops: record Orange Money, MTN MoMo, and cash in one daily log — phone register habits without expensive desktop systems.

Cameroon shops juggle cash, MTN MoMo, and Orange Money — often with notebooks that never match the phone alerts. Desktop “caisse” software can be expensive and overkill. A phone register with a daily log is a realistic first step.

Configure once (XAF)

  • Set shop currency to XAF in Cartpo.
  • Add Direct payment methods named for MTN MoMo and Orange Money (and bank if needed).
  • Customize cash denomination rows for notes you actually handle.
  • Ring every sale before the next customer — Cash or Direct.

Daily sales log (FR/EN shops)

Keep a one-line close note each night:

Match physical cash to cash sales. Match confirmed wallet credits to direct sales. Cartpo Profile and Transactions give you the register side of that equation.

Today’s totals — cash vs direct — before you leave the boutique.

Compliance tone (careful)

OHADA and DGI conversations scare owners into buying whatever claims “certified receipts.” Start with truthful daily records. Do not claim Cartpo is a government-certified fiscal device unless that is separately verified for your use case. Educational record-keeping ≠ legal certification.

When to add social selling

Once the daily log is stable, creator partnerships and live item tagging become useful — especially if you already sell via Facebook or WhatsApp status. Sell on iHolda is available as a visibility toggle; other social shop channels remain Coming Soon.

A French-language version of this guide can follow if Cameroon FR search is a priority — the ops habits are the same.
